  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the meat, onion, and garlic over medium heat until browned. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato paste, and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  4. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Arrange 6 noodles lengthwise over the sauce. Spread with one half of the ricotta cheese mixture, top with a third of the mozzarella cheese, and sprinkle with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Repeat layers, ending with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 25 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
